Levitate left in a tailspin; rin and yohan join SKDC

Wilky has also announced that he is in search of a new team.

Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson has announced his search for a new team in the wake of John  "yohan" Lee and William "rin" McGraw leaving Levitate to join SKDC. These changes will leave Levitate without their three highest rated players so far in ESEA Premier Season 36.

Levitate currently sit at the bottom of Group B in ESEA Premier following 2-0 losses to High Coast and Secret Club. The roster has averaged under six rounds per map in their first two series. Wilky noted that the team had talked about making some changes following the Secret Club match, telling Dust2.us the following:

I'm kind of glad the team didn't go any further because if they are willing to destroy the whole roster that was built in a couple weeks instead of trying to fix problems it isn't a long term team and I don't want to be on a team like that.

Dust2.us has confirmed with Levitate's coach, Donald "voo" Parkhurst, that the trio have left the team and that they have some replacements in mind, but nothing has been finalized at this moment. voo also noted that he'll be stepping down from coaching altogether and will help one or two teams in Advanced as an analyst part time. Levitate do have some time to fill out their roster, as they have used their wildcard for yesterday's scheduled match against Third Impact.

It is worth noting that Levitate's roster for this past weekend's ESEA Winter Cash Cup 4 featured five players that are not a part of their Premier roster, as Malick "dangle" Abid and Alexander "knightmare" Sozzi made three appearances with the Levitate core. Levitate also registered Christopher "Swahn" Swahn, Joseph "clear" Allen, and Andrew "Ghostii" K. for the event, though the trio did not play.

Levitate are now:

  • United States Nicholas "hate" Young
  • United States Sam "Noxio" Goodwin

On the other side of Premier, SKDC have been in search of a fifth since Chase "hyun" Lewis's departure earlier this week and are off to the same 0-2 start to the season as Levitate. Dust2.us has confirmed with Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien that rin and yohan will be filling that previous vacancy as well as replacing David "sensu" Oliver, who left the SKDC ESEA roster yesterday.

With the changes SKDC will be:

  • Canada Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien
  • United States Derek "desi" Branchen
  • United States Dylan "Hiki" O'Kane
  • United States William "rin" McGraw
  • United States John  "yohan" Lee
  • Canada Justin "Waddep" Letendre (Coach)

SKDC are set to play their third series of Season 36 against Extra Salt tonight at 9PM EST.
