STMN's squad features players from Mexico, Peru, and the US

Link details "blackmailing and threats" that led to STMN changes

The former Denial player also reiterated his commitment to represent Latin America proudly in the wake of adding another American to the roster.

Eduardo "Link" Osuna has posted a bilingual TwitLonger to clarify the situation surrounding changes being made to the STMN roster following an incident that saw a trio of Mexican players, Adrian "Gonnak" Arguello, Jesus "otEB" Gastelum, and Emmanuel "emeerkk" Espinoza attempt to blackmail the organization leadership to receive payment.

Link noted that he felt that the actions made (or not made) by STMN were completely reasonable given that the roster had not yet signed any official contract that would have made them entitled to certain compensation, and repeatedly stated that he felt the owners of the organization had shown good faith. Despite this, the trio refused to practice leading up to STMN's crucial Fire League matchup against Estral and even threatened to forfeit that match.

Unsurprisingly, the organization considered working with the trio in the future to be more of a liability than an asset, despite the fact that STMN won the match in question. The three Mexican players were released and replaced by Ludovico "V1ko" Azanza, Julio "VAATI" Jimenez, and Bradley "Slugy" Kohler, the last of which was promoted to the starting roster from substitute.

STMN are now:

  • Mexico Eddie "Link" Osuna
  • United States Everett "Poison" Ivy
  • United States Bradley "Slugy" Kohler
  • Mexico Ludovico "V1ko" Azanza
  • Julio "VAATI" Jimenez

STMN are currently 7-8 in ESEA Advanced Season 35. Their main focus however will undoubtedly be their upcoming LAN competition in Brazil against 9z, Isurus, and Loto, where they will competing for a place at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown qualifier, Latin Power, from November 7-8th.
