Triumph beat Yeah to win Dust2.us Masters FPL Cup 1
Triumph have claimed victory over Yeah in the grand final of the first Dust2.us Masters FPL Cup, earning themselves a $2,000 payday.
The two teams began their bout on Yeah's pick of Mirage, with Triumph taking firm control from the onset as they dominated their Brazilian opponents for a 9-0 lead. Yeah got back in the running towards the latter portion of the half, managing to post six rounds, and further closed the gap following the side swap with a pistol round victory.
A back-and-forth brawl then ensued, with Brandon "BOOBIE" Roberts and Rodrigo "RCF" Figueiredo each securing aces to grant Yeah additional round wins, but it was Triumph who stabilized in the end with a final string of rounds to close out the map 16-9.
Inferno unfolded in similar fashion, although this time, Yeah were the ones to take the initial lead at 3-1. From there however, it was all Triumph, with Paytyn "junior" Johnson and Kaleb "moose" Jayne helping their side dominate Yeah's defense for another 10-5 scoreline by the break. A pistol win allowed Triumph to maintain momentum following the side swap, with the team wasting little time in closing out the series as they brought an end to the map, 16-9.
