Same name, new game

daps and Chet become founding members of NRG VALORANT

We're running out of IGLs guys...

NRG have entered VALORANT with the signings of Damian "daps" Steele and Chet "Chet" Singh, as first reported by Rush B Media.

Sam "s0m" Oh is notably missing from today's announcement after being mentioned in the initial report. If he does end being the squad's second player, three more will be needed to complete NRG's squad.

That shouldn't pose too much of an issue however, as daps is known for scouting and assembling world class talent in the North American CS:GO scene. He is most recently responsible for bringing the core of Evil Geniuses together, who are currently the fourth best team in the world.

Chet coached that same team for quite some time, so NRG were undoubtedly excited to reunite these two great CS:GO minds under their banner in VALORANT.

NRG VALORANT are now:

  • Canada Damian "daps" Steele
  • United States Chet "Chet" Singh (Coach)

Despite being mentioned in the announcement thread, Brandon "Ace" Winn, formerly of eUnited, will not be joining the competitive roster and will continue to be a content creator and keep a pulse on the VALORANT scene for the organization.

The duo have roughly two weeks to get a team together and learn the intricacies of the game before the North American First Strike qualifiers, which will crown the first ever regional champions in Riot's new title.
