moose has found a new herd after an un-Envyable time with his last lineup

Triumph sign moose and penny

The Canadian duo have been made permanent after standing-in for DreamHack Open Summer Online.

Triumph have announced the signing of Canadian duo Kaleb "moose" Jayne and Erik "penny" Penny. The move was first reported on by Danish "Nohte" Allana of HLTV on August 7th

The addition of moose and penny come after Triumph found their ranks depleted following Michael "Grim" Wince's acquisition by Liquid and Rahul "curry" Nemani's decision to step down from the team to focus on college.

moose joins Triumph after an underwhelming seven-month stint with Envy, being released after only a handful of events that saw the organization's European-American mix fail to make an impression in North America. Prior to this, moose was touted as an exciting prospect during his time with eUnited, putting in strong individual performances while the team found modest success.

The second addition to the team, penny, is more of an unknown element as the 17-year-old's only prior team experience was with Rugratz in MDL. In the division however, he has raised eyebrows after ending the season with a 1.22 rating over the course of fourteen maps.

With these new additions, Triumph are now:

  • United States Gabe "Spongey" Greiner
  • United States Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman
  • United States Paytyn "Junior" Johnson
  • Canada Kaleb "moose" Jayne
  • Canada Erik "penny" Penny
  • Brazil Marcos "tacitus" Castilho (Coach)

Triumph's freshly signed lineup will be making their debut in ESL One Cologne Online on August 19th against Evil Geniuses at 4PM EDT.
