Jonji top fragged in the opening series against RBG and in the decider of the grand final for Chaos

Chaos win Mythic Summer Cup #3 over Positive Vibes Only

Two-time defending champions Ze Pug Godz were ousted in the semifinal by the runners-up.

The third iteration of the Mythic Summer Cup series has concluded, this time featuring a new champion, Chaos. They dispatched RBG, oNe, and Positive Vibes Only en route to a $3,000 payday.

RBG were the only team that managed to force a map three in the first round of play, as they opened with a thirty-round victory on Inferno to put Chaos on notice. But Josh "steel" Nissan and friends had no trouble completing the reverse sweep, they allowed just two rounds as they tied the series on Overpass and then completed the comeback with a 16-11 win on Train.

oNe swept Whalers 2-0 thanks largely to the 46 frag effort from Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa. No one on Whalers managed a positive kill death ratio.

Positive Vibes Only bested the other Brazilian side, Yeah, but in a much closer affair that featured a 16-13 opener and double overtime in map two. Justin "FaNg" Coakley led the server in that series with 60 kills.

The final bout between Ze Pug Godz and AA was a landslide that favored the defending champs, as AA didn't reach the halfway point on either map. Gage "Infinite" Green popped off with 40 frags to lead the server, while nobody on AA managed even 30.

In a rematch of the Summer Cup #2 grand final, Ze Pug Godz squared off with the newly renamed Positive Vibes Only roster. This time around, Positive Vibes Only were able to rise above their previous performance as Levitate and won the best-of-three series after trading maps.

Brendan "Bwills" Williams and Danny "cxzi" Strzelcyzk both tallied sixty frags for Positive Vibes, but it was Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor that led all players in the series with 64. Bwills was the difference when it mattered most in the Nuke decider, with his 27 kills leading the server by a long shot, as only Infinite topped 20 for Ze Pug Godz.

In Chaos' series against oNe, all five team members posted more frags than Pedro "Maluk3" Campos, who led the way for the Brazilians with 30. The MVP of the series was undoubtedly Erick "Xeppaa" Bach, who finished with 57 frags in the 2-0 sweep, well beyond a kill per round.

Positive Vibes Only had the misfortune of dealing with an incredibly confident Xeppaa in the grand final and they had no answer for him. Even as Chaos lost the second map, Xeppaa was a bright spot for Chaos as he continued to outfrag the majority of Positive Vibes Only.

Xeppaa got some help from Jonathan "Jonji" Carey and Anthony "vanity" Malaspina in the Nuke decider, but still finished with 70 frags to lead Chaos to a Summer Cup #3 victory. Will "dazzLe" Loafman turned in a team-high 51 kills in his second outing with the Positive Vibes Only roster.
