zNf was Mythic's top performer in ESEA MDL Season 34

zNf steps down from Mythic

zNf will be stepping away from CS:GO after a year with Mythic.

Donovan "zNf" Froid has stepped down from Mythic and will be taking a break from competitive CS:GO.

In the attached TwitLonger, zNf said that the decision to step down from Mythic came down to work and college commitments, with the player set to head back to college this fall. zNf also said that he will be focusing on his mental health and his future moving forward, coming to the realization that he "never had a chance with CS" outside of it being a hobby.

zNf had been an on-and-off member of Mythic since June 2019, notably helping the squad to a recent second-place finish at ESEA MDL Season 34, besting Recon 5 and Levitate on their way to the finals. He is the latest player to step down from Mythic in recent weeks, with Corbin "C0M" Lee making the move to VALORANT at the start of July.

With zNf stepping down, Mythic are now:

  • United States Erik "fl0m" Flom
  • United States Adam "Polen" Polen
  • United States Kaitlin "Keiti" Boop
  • Canada David "DAVEY" Stafford

Mythic will be on the lookout for a new fifth prior to the start of ESEA MDL Season 35, which is set to begin on August 31st.

Dust2 Birthday cake!
Can't fault him with focusing on his mental health and going to college/getting work outside of cs at all. Hope he does well in the future!
