Montreal-based organization Oceanus have signed Rugratz, with this being the team's first organization since they parted ways with Divine back in November.
We are happy to finally announce our return to the CSGO scene. Our roster will be representing us in @ESEA #MDL, @GoldenLeagueLLC , @efiregg KOTH and @MythicRebornGG Invite League. Let's give a warm welcome to @zaannzz @madacsgo @tweissCS @AlmxghtyHunter @pennycsgo ! #ridethetide pic.twitter.com/FG7n0zfMQf— Oceanus Gaming 🇨🇦🔱🛡️🌊 (@OceanusGG) June 2, 2020
This is the French-Canadian organization's second foray into CS:GO, with the core of their previous lineup featuring two members of the current Swedish Canadians lineup.
Oceanus had this to say about the decision to sign Rugratz:
We see a lot of potential in two young Canadians that are playing with a solid core of experienced players. We believe these guys haven't gotten the recognition they deserved as they were placing well in MDL the last few seasons. With the right support, these boys can go to the next level. Can't wait to see what they can do!
Dust2.us was told that for the time being the squad will continue to pug during their matches. However, if they qualify for MDL playoffs they plan on trying to practice more regularly.
With the signing of Rugratz, Oceanus are now:
- Joshua "Hunter" Madore
- Erik "penny" Penny
- Alexander "zander" Diaz
- Adam "mada" Pampuch
- Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
Oceanus currently have a 5-4 record in ESEA MDL Season 34 as well as 2-0 record in Mythic Invite League. Their next MDL match is scheduled to take place on June 2nd at 9PM EDT against Keep the Comms Up.
