ShahZaM reunites with his old Complexity and Misfits teammate SicK in the Sentinels' inaugural VALORANT roster

ShahZaM and SicK make switch to VALORANT with Sentinels

They are joined by ex-OWL MVP sinatraa and Sentinels' Apex Legends player zombs.

Sentinels have signed signed former CS:GO pros Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Hunter "SicK" Mims to their inaugural VALORANT roster. The organization is best known for being the home of Fortnite World Cup champion Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf.

Joining ShahZaM and SicK will be Jay "sinatraa" Won, who was a world-champion Overwatch League DPS for the San Francisco Shock. sinatraa announced his retirement from Overwatch earlier this evening following a career that saw him lead the Shock to an OWL title and Team USA to a victory in the Overwatch World Cup. He was named the MVP on both squads.

Their fourth teammate is a lateral transfer from the Sentinels' Apex Legends squad, Jared "zombs" Gitlin. zombs mained Pathfinder in Apex and most notably won the showmatch at TwitchCon San Diego this past September. He was also a part of the first trio in the world to attain the Apex Predator rank when ranked mode was released for the game.

ShahZam played in three Majors during his CS:GO career, most notably as a part of Complexity's quarterfinal run at the FACEIT London Major in 2018. He also played for Cloud9, Tempo Storm, Conquest, OpTic, Echo Fox, and Misfits during his five year career as one of North America's most notable AWPers.

This move makes him teammates with SicK once again, having previously played with him on Complexity and Misfits. SicK announced his intent to transition to VALORANT one week ago upon his departure from Chaos.

Sentinels' VALORANT roster is currently:

  • United States Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan
  • United States Hunter "SicK" Mims
  • United States Jay "sinatraa" Won
  • United States Jared "zombs" Gitlin

The team are still in search of a fifth player to round out their competitive roster.

Honestly a stacked roster for valorant right now, since all of them have the advantage of being really good at their respective games + the esports scene is still small with only tournaments here and there

Of course, I wish Sick stayed and Shahzam so I could keep watching them play CS, but I wish them the best of luck

If you wanna look at raw talent, I think T1 is easily the most stacked in terms of past history and potential. Atm mouseSpaz is probably the best team (Cutler, hazed, drone, Subroza, WARDELL) or the Absolute roster that all switched over just because they'll have strong chemistry and teamplay. This is a stacked roster so far but I'd be scared of mP and Absolute

Ah, the roster with Wardell and Cutler got picked up by Mousespaz? Haven’t heard of the org for a while.

I agree with T1 and Absolute being really scary rosters right now, I liked a lot of their players (especially Absolute, who I rooted for a lot) when they used to play CS, so I hope they do well

I’m sure that this roster, however, will be very good once they get a lot of experience together as a team, considering all of their players are talented

If anything this roster forming and however T1 build their roster with the last 2 spots they could be the top 1 and 2 respectively. And I'm not certain. The mouseSpaz did actually pick them up, the Liquipedia for valorant says that they signed them but they also had Laski and another player beforehand in place of I think Cutler and Subroza. Either way the few teams confirmed out there or atleast speculated do look dangerous. I'm not booked by valorant yet, but I plan on watching it when it gets a serious scene because it looks like itll be pretty fun from a competitive standpoint. Maybe CS and valorant will end up in an FGC situation where some players play both games depending on how their scheduling works out
