Recon 5 scout out neptune
Recon 5 have confirmed the addition of Jason "neptune" Tran to their roster, with the player first making an appearance for the team in the DreamHack Masters Spring qualifiers.
The former Ghost member joins Recon 5 following the disbanding of Swole Identity, whose fate as a team was sealed early on into MDL Season 33 after Braxton "swag" Pierce announced his retirement and subsequent move to VALORANT. He takes the place of Austin "AAustiN" Urb on the roster, who has since joined Big Frames.
Although not unexpected, neptune has already become Recon 5's leading fragger, helping the team earn a spot in the Closed Qualifier for DreamHack Masters Spring earlier in the week with a 1.26 rating. The team found little success in the closed stage, picking up a win over Monstars and falling to Envy and Bad News Bears to be eliminated in 5-6th.
