Triumph cut Asuna

Triumph are now on the lookout for two new players after also losing Voltage.

Coming off the back of Logan "Voltage" Long's acquisition by Chaos, Triumph have made another change to their lineup, parting ways with Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk, Dust2.us has learned.

The 16-year-old player joined the team on February 23rd, coming in as a replacement for Jack "xCeeD" Holiman. Since then he has managed to put up decent numbers, finishing ESEA MDL Season 33 with a 1.03 rating. However, a source close to the team said the decision to cut Asuna came down to questions about his commitment to the game.

Therefore, Triumph are reduced to:

  • United States Gabe "Spongey" Greiner
  • United States Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman
  • United States Michael "Grim" Wince
  • United States Ryan "Snakes" Amann (Backup)
  • Brazil Marcos "tacitus" Castilho (Analyst)

Triumph will now need to find two new players ahead of the start of the North American ESL One: Road to Rio qualifier, which is set to start on April 22nd.

No? You may be thinking of the Global Challenge but that's probably not happening now.

I had heard that this match would substitute for the Challenge. Otherwise, there will be two seasons with no move up.
