KP's mixteam decimated Not Even Worried to claim the $2,000 top prize

West Coast Fraggers win DreamHack Open Anaheim BYOC over Not Even Worried

With only two teams checking in, West Coast Fraggers claimed the $2,000 top prize without much trouble.

Over the weekend, Erik "KP" Lytle's West Coast Fraggers won DreamHack Open Anaheim BYOC following a best-of-five victory over Not Even Worried.

The BYOC side event immediately went to the grand finals due to two out of the four teams signed up not checking in, leaving West Coast Fraggers and Not Even Worried as the only teams in attendance.

Starting the sole series off on Vertigo, West Coast Fraggers decimated their ESEA Open opponents, winning their CT-side 10-5 before taking the map 16-5. KP notably ended the map with 34 kills.

Moving onto Inferno, Not Even Worried had a slightly better showing on their opening T-side, ending the half with a close 6-9 deficit. After switching sides however, the team was outplayed by West Coast Fraggers who promptly claimed the map 16-9.

With West Coast Fraggers up 2-0, Not Even Worried finally came alive as they battled West Coast Fraggers to an 8-7 on Train. After switching sides, the two sides went tit for tat before KP narrowly won the map 16-14.

The prize distribution for DreamHack Open Anaheim BYOC looks as follows:

1. United States West Coast Fraggers (KP, Polarbear, In0x, Scoob, Jwilson) - $2,000
2. United States Not Even Worried (NaisA-, Zano, JonnyC, FearsLife, Red John) - $1,000
