Favorites advance to DreamHack Open Leipzig Closed Qualifier

Gen.G, Chaos, Triumph, and INTZ are set to take on the likes of Cloud9 and Complexity tomorrow.

The second day of the DreamHack Open Leipzig qualifier has come to an end, seeing Gen.G, Chaos, Triumph, and INTZ through to tomorrow's Closed Qualifier.

The day commenced with Swole Patrol facing INTZ in the remaining Round 4 match from yesterday, and it did not go the way of the North Americans as Bruno "shz" Martinelli and co. pummeled them to the tune of 16-5.

The first two quarterfinals were over in a flash, as neither Chaos nor Triumph allowed their opposition to reach double digits.

The final series of the qualifier saw Roy "Strong Legs" Ahad's Russian Street Party taking on INTZ. The Main team continued to surprise by securing their own pick of Inferno 16-12, with Austin "AJaxz" Janocha leading the way.

Unfortunately this was the end of RSP's Cinderella story, as the Brazilian team decisively took the next two maps to win the series and advance.
