Monstars look to Reck next season as aproto steps down

There is a new Monstar in town

Alex "aproto" Protopapas has elected to step down from Monstars due to being set to attend university starting in January, has learned. aproto had been part of the team since late July, when he joined from BLITZKRIEG.

FPL Recap - 15-year-old ReckMONSTER lives up to his name

Stepping into aproto's shoes will be Ethan "ReckMONSTER" Serrano, who ironically did the same thing in a stand-in capacity at Fragadelphia 13, where he helped Monstars to a third place finish. Aside from recently qualifying to FPL, the 15-year-old has spent the current season with Gorilla Gang, who will fight for their survival tonight in the lower bracket of the Advanced playoffs.

As for quasi-permanent member Nick "alter" Jackson, have been told he will remain with the team until they are able to find a permanent fifth, with the player seemingly having been unable to find the better offer he was looking for when he joined the team in mid-September.

Monstars alter roster as Swisher departs

As of now, Monstars are:

  • us Ian "tex" Botsch
  • us Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
  • us Shawn "witmer" Taylor
  • us Nick "alter" Jackson
  • us Ethan "ReckMONSTER" Serrano

On top of the changes, Monstars have pulled out of WINNERS League Season 3 Invite, which will leave their schedule more or less open until the start of MDL Season 33.
