boltz will debut for INTZ against Riot Squad tonight

boltz replaces DeStiNy on INTZ

After spending just over a month on the sidelines, boltz has returned to active play.

INTZ have announced the signing of former MIBR and Luminosity member Ricardo "boltz" Prass, with the player taking the place of Lucas "DeStiNy" Bullo on the starting roster.

boltz has largely been inactive following the disbanding of the ex-Luminosity roster at the start of October. The 22-year-old player was able to post a 1.07 rating over the past six months before the team went their separate ways, a markedly noticeable improvement over DeStiNy's 0.99 rating in the same time frame.

DeStiNy has been a part of INTZ since the start of the year, joining the team alongside Gustavo "yel" Knittel. The team attended a small number of offline events over the course of the year, failing to qualify for the IEM Katowice Major after falling short in the Americas Minor. After a lackluster 5-6th placement at DreamHack Open Rio, the team managed to qualify for the New Challengers stage of the StarLadder Berlin Major through the Minor Play-in, but swiftly found themselves eliminated in last place.

The only other LAN event the team attended, ESL Pro League Season 9, saw both DeStiNy and Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe miss out due to visa issues, leading to the team fielding two stand-ins. Those same visa issues have seemingly led to DeStiNy's replacement on the roster, with the player revealing in a Twitter post that he recently returned to Brazil to take "care of personal matters."

The addition of boltz may not be the only change to the INTZ roster, as a report from Draft5.gg's Lucas Spricigo indicates that the team have also expressed an interest in adding boltz's former ex-Luminosity teammate, Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato, in place of Bruno "shz" Martinelli.

The change leaves INTZ with the following roster:

  • Brazil Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
  • Brazil Alexandre "xand" Zizi
  • Brazil Gustavo "yeL" Knittel
  • Brazil Bruno "shz" Martinelli
  • Brazil Ricardo "boltz" Prass
  • Brazil Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci (Coach)
  • Brazil Lucas "DeStiNy" Bullo (Inactive)

INTZ are currently undefeated in MDL Season 32 boasting a 14-0 record, and have just three matches left to play. boltz will debut later tonight for the team in a double-header against Riot Squad and Ben's Anime Team, kicking off at 8 PM EDT. boltz is also set to attend DreamHack Open Atlanta with INTZ, as first reported by Roque Marques last week, with the event running from November 15-17.
