Divine find youth with addition of Junior; tweiss released

The team had initially set their eyes on a higher-profile player in the form of Zellsis.

Divine have completed their roster with Paytyn "Junior" Johnson, team captain Alexander "Zander" Diaz announced last night. Additionally, Tyler "tweiss" Weiss has been released from his contract with the organization.

In the tweet, zander made mention of "unfortunate circumstances with the person [the team] were gonna pick up" leading to the team opting for Junior. Dust2.us have learned that person is none other than Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, who recently left Swole Patrol after a string of disappointing results.

As for Junior, the player was most recently part of the Lowkey squad that made it to ESEA Advanced playoffs last season before losing to heX in the Round of 16, after which Junior parted ways with the team.

More recently, Junior qualified for FPL alongside Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk at the beginning of the month.

Divine now have the following roster:

  • United States Joshua "Hunter" Madore
  • United States Alex "zander" Diaz
  • Canada Erik "bul" Penny
  • United States Daniel "roca" Gustaferri
  • United States Paytyn "Junior" Johnson
  • United States Corey "flashstep" Parks (Coach)

The recent swap of tweiss for Junior has seemingly not slowed down Divine, as the team picked up their first win together last night against LiViD in MDL. They remain comfortably at the top of the league standings with a 9-1 record.
