Evil Geniuses crush Complexity to meet Cloud9 in ECS Season 8 Week 3 grand finals
Evil Geniuses have joined Cloud9 in the grand finals of ECS Season 8 Week 3, pulling off a comeback on Overpass to sweep their semifinals series against Complexity.
One would not have guessed that Evil Geniuses would be the ones to take the opening map at the start of the series, given that Complexity were able to run up a 12-1 lead to kick off the map. Two rounds to close out the half and another two to kick off the second had Evil Geniuses still trailing 12-5, but Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's side were unwilling to concede the map as they only gave up one round before winning eleven in a row to take the map 16-13.
Complexity finally got another round on the board as the opening pistol of Inferno went their way, but Evil Geniuses fought back with a force-buy to regain control. The team continued to cruise on the momentum of their comeback on Overpass as they only allowed Complexity four additional rounds on the map before closing out the series with a 16-5 victory.
