dvl and co. secured first place after besting Daryl Carries Everyone twice

Vatic win Underwatch NCS Last Chance Minor

The two-day event saw the newly signed lineup best Daryl Carries Everybody 3-1 in the finals.

Vatic have taken first place at their debut event, besting Daryl Carries Everyone 3-1 to secure the lion's share of the yet to be announced prizepool.

Sunday's action started off with the winners' finals match between Vatic and Daryl Carries Everyone. Vatic started off the series by taking Overpass 16-14 in part thanks to a strong performance from Nick "squidah" McDonald.

Moving onto Mirage, Daryl Carries Everyone tied up the series with a quick 16-9 win on Mirage.

With the series tied up, Vatic managed to pull ahead on Dust2 and take the map 16-10, with Wesley "viz" Harris ending the series in style with a post-plant 4k.

Moving onto the fourth round of the lower bracket, New England Whalers were sent packing without much fanfare as Northeast Mayhem picked up a 2-0 win to advance into the loser's finals. It is worth noting that the Brazilian squad used manager Joao "Luke1" Daher at the event in place of Yan "yepz" Pedretti due to the latter's continuing visa problems.

In the loser's finals, Daryl Carries Everyone shocked Northeast Mayhem as they bested them 16-13 on Inferno before closing out the series with a 16-6 win on Mirage.

In the grand finals Vatic and Daryl Carries Everyone squared off once again in a winners' finals rematch. Starting on Mirage, after a minor comeback scare, Daryl Carries Everyone tied up the best of five series by taking the map 16-13.

Continuing on, Vatic regained their lead, finding a 16-12 win on Overpass. Finally, on Inferno Vatic secured their win with a strong 16-10 performance on Inferno.
