The Counter-Strike scene now has no Strings attached

Strings announces retirement

The former MDL player has cut his Counter-Strike career short (for now) at just 20-years-old.

Teamless for the last nine months, 20-year-old Blake "Strings" Stringer announced his retirement from CS:GO earlier today. Strings most notably played alongside Ian "motm" Hardy and Gage "Infinite" Green in Etherian at the end of 2017 and into 2018.

Strings' last season of MDL came in Season 29 with Infamous, where the team would finish twelfth. He then took a season off before returning with Strings' Llama Pack in Season 30, making Advanced playoffs before being eliminated by the MDL-bound Big Frames.

In between the two ESEA seasons, Strings made appearances at the N3rd Street Gamers Eastern Conference Championship and T.O. Spawn. The highlight of the first event was a 16-0 thrashing at the hands of eventual champions Drip or Drown, while Strings and his Llama Pack managed to come in fourth at the Canadian event.

Sad. Not a great player, but good enough to play MDL. There are 30-40 trash players in the league who would rather lose with their friends than play with someone competent.
