With ryann in tow, Envy managed to take down eUnited in two close maps

Envy advances to DreamHack Masters Malmö Closed Qualifier Grand Finals

Envy continue to perform above expectations with ryann.

Day two of the DreamHack Masters Malmö Closed Qualifier saw Envy advance through the upper bracket to the grand finals, while ATK and Sharks are set to square off in the lower bracket semi-finals.

The first series of the day was hotly contested as Swole Patrol managed to edge out Inferno against ATK 16-12 following a 10-1 start of their CT-side.

Following Inferno, Ricky "floppy" Kemery led the way for his team in a close win on Mirage. ATK won their CT-side 8-7 before climbing up to 12 rounds on their T-side. Swole manage to break down ATK's lead as they found seven out of the next eight rounds before ATK claimed the last three to narrowly take Mirage 16-14.

Unfortunately for Swole Patrol, before the start of the third map Jason "neptune" Tran had to step away from the game resulting in Daniel "fRoD" Montaner taking his place on Dust2. Even with the veteran coach filling in for the youngster, Swole Patrol played admirably almost taking the map before ATK rallied to force overtime before winning the map 19-17.

The next series saw Divine impress against the Brazilian-Argentinian squad of Sharks. On Nuke, Erik "bul" Penny led the server in kills, paving the way for his team to force overtime. However, a strong performance from Ignacio "meyern" Meyer was enough for Sharks to overpower their MDL opposition and take the map 19-17.

Moving onto Inferno, Divine were not ready to be counted out as Daniel "roca" Gustaferri rolled back the years, helping power his squad to a convincing 16-11 win on the map.

With the series all tied up, Divine started Vertigo in the lead as they won the CT pistol and the following three rounds. However, once Sharks got rolling, they chewed up Divine, maintaining a narrow lead for the remainder of the map, closing out Vertigo and the series with a 16-9 win.

In the upper bracket finals, eUnited and Envy faced off for a spot in the grand finals. Starting on Inferno, the two sides played an incredibly close and scrappy game that went into overtime after eUnited rallied in the second half. Jacob "FugLy" Medina ended up being the X-factor for Envy throughout the game with his presence also being felt in overtime as Envy overpowered eUnited to take Inferno 19-15.

Continuing onto Nuke, eUnited started their map pick up 6-3 before Envy rallied to take the remainder of the rounds ending the half up 9-6. After switching sides, Envy entrenched their lead by winning the next four rounds before eUnited tied the map up after winning seven rounds in a row. The remainder of the rounds saw Envy narrowly squeak by to avoid overtime and claim the map 16-14, securing their upset 2-0 win.
