kNgV- finalizes MIBR's roster following the benching of coldzera

MIBR sign kNgV-

The 26-year-old Brazilian joins the MIBR roster at long last.

MIBR have announced the signing of Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe from INTZ, with the player filling the spot left vacant following Marcelo "coldzera" David's exit from the active roster. Dexerto initially reported the organization's interest in the player at the end of July, pointing towards kNgV- being brought on board after the StarLadder Berlin Major.

MIBR previously targeted kNgV- as a potential addition to their team in December of 2018, but visa issues that prevented the player from entering the United States led MIBR to settle on João "felps" Vasconcellos. With kNgV- securing a P-1 visa last month, the final barrier to joining the roster was gone, reuniting kNgV- with Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles.

The two players had previously played on Immortals in their 2017 PGL Krakow finals run, although the infamous DreamHack Montreal incident led to kNgV-'s separation from the team shortly after. Immortals later acquired the MIBR brand and the SK roster, with kNgV- now finding his way back to the organization.

Regarding his past, kNgV- said the following in a TwitLonger posted regarding the move:

When I decided to play professionally again, I couldn't really imagine the many and uncountable amazing experiences I would have lived, and of course not all of them were that amazing, I admit. Since immersing myself in the unknown, up to playing the Major Finals, I watch a long and happy movie in my mind, but that was when everything started to fall apart.

Conflicts, wrong attitudes and mistakes, and when I realized that I was drifting away, my heart was broken for seeing myself not being able to do what I loved the most in my life. I wasn't able to play at a high level anymore, knowing that I could actually do even better and even go beyond all of that. It hurt watching tournaments, knowing that all of that was my own routine, and all of a sudden not anymore, even though I knew I had all the potential to be there.

When discussing his move to MIBR, kNgV- mentioned that the team has already started practicing, with the team now preparing to debut with their new roster at BLAST Pro Series Moscow on September 13.

MIBR's roster is now:

  • Brazil Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
  • Brazil Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
  • Brazil Epitacio "TACO" de Melo
  • Brazil Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles (Loan)
  • Brazil Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe
  • Brazil Wilton "zews" Prado (Coach)

  • Brazil Marcelo "coldzera" David (Inactive)
  • Brazil João "felps" Vasconcellos (Loaned out)

INTZ have yet to announce a replacement for kNgV-, although a report by Lucas Spricigo at Draft5 indicates that the organization are currently targeting Bruno "shz" Martinelli from Keyd Stars.
