Douglas hops off Kansas City Pioneers' wagon

The team will need to find one more before embarking on the MDL trail later this month.

Jarod "Douglas" Onorato announced that he would not be playing ESEA MDL Season 32 with Kansas City Pioneers yesterday, and that he is currently looking for MDL level offers for the upcoming season.

Douglas was picked up by the team just a few short days ago after he stood in for them during the third ESEA Proving Grounds qualifier. Contacted by Dust2.us, the player said his decision was based on him "having some problems" with Pioneers' in-game leader Alexander "zander" Diaz.

Douglas' only tournament during his short four day tenure with the team was the MSI MGA Closed Qualifier, where Pioneers were eliminated in the first round after being bested 2-1 by Skyler "Relyks" Weaver's New Identity, the same team that knocked them out of the semifinals in Proving Grounds.

As for Kansas City Pioneers, they are currently signed up for the ECS Qualifier with Paytyn "Junior" Johnson, someone who has faithfully stood in for the Pioneers in the past. While it is unknown whether Junior will join their party permentantly, for now their roster is:

  • United States Joshua "Hunter" Madore
  • United States Alex "zander" Diaz
  • Canada Erik "bul" Penny
  • United States David "Sneaky" Polster
  • United States Sean "ashen" Yang (Coach)
