Sneaky to Rugratz as ULTRA starts the Ascent

Mid-way through the off-season, the two MDL sides have effectively done a player swap.

The past day has seen David "Sneaky" Polster leave Ascent to join Rugratz, while former Rugratz ex-Zone/Rugratz player Noah "ULTRA" Giesbrecht has gone the other way to join Ascent. Rugratz's roster had been left in shambles following the departure of Rahul "curry" Nemani to Final Feature, and the kicking of David "J0LZ" Jolin this weekend.

With the change, Rugratz have the following roster:

  • United States Joshua "Hunter" Madore
  • United States Alex "zander" Diaz
  • Canada Erik "bul" Penny
  • United States David "Sneaky" Polster
  • United States Mark "markalodon" Rose (Trial Coach)

Sneaky and Rugratz played in the third and final MSI MGA open qualifier this past Saturday, topping The Quest to reach the Closed Qualifier. On Sunday, they participated in the second ESEA Proving Grounds, making it to the fifth round before being knocked out by Final Feature. The team used Paytyn "Junior" Johnson as a stand-in for both events, but Dust2.us knows the team has not settled on a permanant fifth.

Sneaky spent the past two seasons with slashLEVEL/Ascent, helping them to a 10-7 showing in Season 31. The team have now seen three of their Season 31 players depart the roster, and will have to retain their two remaining players from last season for eight out of the next nine matches if they wish to keep their MDL spot.

With the addition of ULTRA, Ascent now have the following roster:

  • United States Joshua "KiiroKami" Kim
  • Canada Marc-Andre "NiSMO" Tayar
  • United States Noah "ULTRA" Giesbrecht
  • United States Steven "HeartBreaker" Cropley (Coach)

The next event for Rugratz will be the MSI MGA Closed Qualifier. Both teams await the start of MDL Season 32.
