RMU continue their success at the collegiate level

RMU take NACCS Summer League over UCSC

The Eagles avenged their loss to the Banana Slugs at CSL Spring Finals earlier in the year.

RMU have won the first North American Collegiate Counter-Strike Summer League with a 2-0 victory over UCSC. The pair of teams are not strangers, as they also faced off at the CSL 2019 Spring Finals back in April.

RMU were nearly flawless in their campaign, as they only dropped one map to Michigan State throughout the event. UCSC also had a tough time with Michigan State, as the Spartans cast them down to the lower bracket the previous round.

In fact, UCSC's tournament was almost an exact mirror image of RMU's, as the former team achieved 2-1 victories in every series save one. The last of these was a 2-1 win over Cameron "Skelly" Thomson and reigning CSL champions York in the lower bracket finals.

The top four teams of the NACCS Summer League are:

1. United States RMU (Welshy, Reality, Andersin, draggio, retrQ)
2. United States UCSC (obsidian, neurofunk, yohan, TROLLA, youngthug)
3. Canada York (Tennls, Skelly, denya, kXn, Zephix)
4. United States UNCC (zoid, PinheadLarry, hotdog, cmx, fype)

The full bracket is available here.

The victory continues a good month for RMU men Liam "Welshy" Newhouse and Riley "Reality" Fusch, as the former's Big Frames made it to MDL, and the latter took home a nice chunk of change from the IEM Chicago Wingman tournament.
