thief sneaks out of heX

Another player looks to make a move to a new team following the end of the online season.

Brady "thief" Dever is no longer a part of heX, Dust2.us has confirmed. The news follows a tweet posted by the player on Wednesday afternoon, indicating that he was searching for a new team for the upcoming season.

thief has been a part of the heX core since May, with the team managing a sixth place finish in the regular season of Advanced to earn a spot in the playoffs. There, they secured wins over Lowkey and Good Game PR to earn a semifinals berth, where they were eliminated from contention by Big Frames.

The team's run in the MDL Season 31 Relegation bracket saw them fare much worse, falling 0-2 in their opening matchup to Mythic before being eliminated in their first lower bracket matchup by Bushido Boyz. When contacted by Dust2.us, Addison "zecK" Gorzeck assured us that "everything was mutual" and that they had to respect thief's decision to leave as he looks to improve upon his Season 31 results with a new squad.

Following thief's departure, heX are left with:

  • United States Addison "zecK" Gorzeck
  • Canada Sterling "sterling" Allard
  • United States Matthew "nero" Seymour
  • United States Nolan "bite" Hunstad

  • United States Josh "jkar" Cardia (Backup)

heX are not currently signed up for any of the upcoming qualifiers as they embark on a search for a permanent fifth player. The team currently awaits the start of Season 32, but may make a appearance in any of a number of upcoming qualifiers, for which the dates and signup links can be found on the Dust2.us Calendar.
