LiViD overcome absolute mad lads to claim second ESEA Advanced finals spot

Tonight LiViD will attempt to become the first all Canadian squad in MDL since Season 27.

The second semifinal series of the ESEA Advanced Season 31 playoffs has come to a close, with LiViD besting absolute mad lads 2-1 to claim their spot in the finals.

The series started off on absolute mad lads' map pick of Mirage where LiViD began the half by winning their opening CT-side pistol round and the following two rounds before absolute mad lads got on the board with three rounds of their own. These would be the last rounds of the half for absolute mad lads, as LiViD proceeded to mount a perfect CT-side which allowed them to claim a 12-3 lead at the half. On their T-side LiViD found their second pistol round of the series but were unable to convert the following round  as absolute mad lads found three more rounds. The Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien-led squad were unable to secure their map pick into double digits as LiViD won three out of the next five rounds to take Mirage 16-8.

Moving onto Inferno, the Canadian squad found another pistol round and the next two rounds before absolute mads lads took the lead with four rounds of their own. LiViD would retake the lead immediately afterwards as they claimed the next four rounds in a row, eventually ending the half up 8-7. In the second half, absolute mads lads were able to take control after LiViD mounted an ill-fated four-man mid rush that was quashed by a hail of bullets. With the momentum shifted in their favor, absolute mad lads went on to win seven out the next nine rounds to find map point. LiViD would win three more rounds though the French Canadians were unable to force overtime as absolute mad lads forced a third map with a 16-13 scoreline.

On Dust2, absolute mad lads won another pistol round on their CT-side though LiViD would immediately answer back by winning the following forcebuy round. Following this LiViD won nine out of the next eleven rounds, with absolute mad lads not finding life until the final rounds of the half. absolute mads lads looked to get back into the map by winning the opening two rounds of the second half, but once LiViD found their footing they locked absolute mads lads out the bombsites, winning the next seven rounds in a row to secure the series with a 16-8 scoreline.

With the final semifinals match concluded Big Frames and LiViD are set to compete tonight at 9 PM EDT to determine which team will claim the $4,500 top prize and a direct ticket to MDL. 

As for absolute mad lads, they have earned themselves a spot in Relegation where they will have a chance to claim one of four spots in MDL.
