VINI was unstoppable on Train

VINI shines as FURIA take down Singularity to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 10

A solid performance from their coach and a lights-out Train by VINI saw the Brazilians top the season.

FURIA have qualified for ESL Pro League Season 10 following a 2-0 victory over Singularity in the grand finals of MDL Season 31.

The series began on Singularity's pick of Train, with FURIA taking an early 2-0 lead to kick off their defensive half. A four-round run by Singularity quickly flipped the odds into the favor of the Americans, but an incredible performance by Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo allowed for FURIA to regain the lead as they pushed their way up to a 9-5 scoreline. One final round allowed for Singularity to remain competitive at the half as they swapped over to their own defensive side.

A four-round run off the back of the second pistol saw Singularity gain the lead for the first time since their initial streak, but VINI continued to dismantle his opposition once FURIA's economy stabilized. An incredible 42-17 scoreline saw VINI grant Singularity just one final round, with the 20-year-old Brazilian ending the map with a 2.17 rating to take Train 16-11.

A pistol round victory on the T-side of Nuke allowed for FURIA to remain ahead as the second map got underway, but an immediate reply from Singularity saw the American side take six straight rounds in reply. The Brazilians managed to fight back for two rounds of their own, but only managed one additional round after to trail 4-11 at the half.

The deficit was narrowed as FURIA won three rounds at the start of the second half, but Singularity seemed set to push the series to a third map as they replied with a trio of their own for a 14-7 scoreline. A solid ramp hold from coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira and combined efforts from VINI, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato, and Yuri "yuurih" Santos saw FURIA begin to rack up rounds, with the team managing nine in a row to snatch victory from the hands of Singularity and edge out a 16-14 win to top MDL Season 31 and qualify for ESL Pro League Season 10.
