effys and friends had themselves a little FRENCH CANADIANS reunion

On Fait Quoi and Lowkey qualify for Mythic Cup 3 but decide not to play; bracket drawn

Yup.

The qualifier for today's Mythic Cup 3 was played yesterday, seeing 52 teams compete for two spots in the $2,500 event.

Making their way through the bracket was the French Canadian mix On Fait Quoi, featuring Lazarus' Yassine "Subroza" Taofik and CLG Red's Catherine "CAth" Leroux. The mix resembling the FRENCH CANADIANS lineup of yore took down Hentai Heroes in the semi-finals to claim a spot in the main event.

On the other side of the bracket, fellow Canadian Alex "vek" Voynov and Lowkey faced off against Holo in an all-Advanced showdown. Alex "Obs1dian" Conrad and Paytyn "Junior" Johnson were too much for Holo to handle, as Lowkey handily took the win 16-7.

The full bracket is available here.

Despite qualifying, neither team will actually participate in the main event, due to Lazarus and Lowkey having a WINNERS League match scheduled tonight at 7 PM EDT. The schedule conflict rules out Lowkey from participating in Mythic's event for obvious reasons, and On Fait Quoi are seemingly uninterested in playing without Subroza. As a result, the 3rd-4th place teams of Holo and Hentai Heroes will play in the main event.

Additionally, Bad News Bears have pulled out of the event, so the final spot has been awarded to We Da North, another Canadian mix featuring Ryan "shanks" Ngo and Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen.

With all that being said, the bracket for the event has been drawn, and will be as follows, assuming no further teams decide to not participate:

United States eUnited vs. United States Hentai Heroes
United States Bushido Boyz vs. United States Prospects
United States Party Astronauts vs. United States Good Game PR
United States ex-Zone vs. United States Front
United States Singularity vs. Canada We Da North
United States Thunder Logic vs. Canada LiViD
ATK vs. United States Holo
United States Variance vs. United States Big Frames

All the above matches will kick off tonight at 7 PM EDT, with the quarterfinals following after.
