Lazarus sign yay

The addition of yay will hopefully breath some new life into Lazarus, with the organization struggling to find results since entering CS:GO.

After a standing-in for Lazarus during the first ESL One New York qualifier, Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker has been signed by the team.

The addition of yay as a replacement for Michael "dapr" Gulino was initially reported on by Dust2.us on June 5th, with a later report by Jarek "DeKay" Lewis claiming that yay had already signed with the organization as early as June 7th. Dust2.us have been told the signing was completed earlier today.

Before linking up with Lazarus, yay had a one-month stint with Bad News Bears after returning from a period of inactivity. yay's individual form has seen a resurgence since his return, with the player helping Bad News Bears make the Americas Minor North America Closed Qualifier and leading Lazarus on the server during their ESL One New York qualifier run.

With the addition of yay, Lazarus' lineup is now:

  • United States Braxton "swag" Pierce
  • United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
  • United States Gage "Infinite" Green
  • Canada Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik
  • United States Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker
  • United States Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Coach)

Lazarus's next outing will see the team compete in the Americas Minor North America Closed Qualifier on June 12th; however they will be unable to use yay as he is currently tied to Bad News Bears for the remainder of the Major cycle. Following the Closed Qualifier, the team will be officially debuting with yay in the ESL One New York Closed Qualifier, which is set to begin on June 27th.
