yay will look to make it to the ESL One New York Closed Qualifier with Lazarus

Update: yay set to debut with Lazarus in first ESL One New York qualifier

Sixth times the charm for RZU, while FNS and dapr will look to big brain their way to New York.

Lazarus is set to compete in the first ESL One New York qualifier today with Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker filling the spot left by Michael "dapr" Gulino. According to a report by Jarek "DeKay" Lewis earlier today, yay has already signed with the Lazarus organization, with the move originally being reported by Dust2.us.

Lazarus' lineup is now:

  • United States Braxton "swag" Pierce
  • United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
  • United States Gage "Infinite" Green
  • Canada Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik
  • United States Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker
  • United States Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Coach)

The move sees the return of Jeff "RZU" Ngo to Bad News Bears (again), who Dust2.us knows have been in discussions with an organization for some time. RZU has been in and out of the team's core since October of last year when he joined Test Takers.

Bad News Bears now have the following roster:

  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • United States Josh "shinobi" Abastado
  • United States Austin "crashies" Roberts
  • United States Jeff "RZU" Ngo (Stand-in)

RZU returning to the Bears has put Prospects in an even tougher position, with the team having run out of roster adds. Already using coach Warren "hades" Rettich, they will now need to field one of Paul "n2g" Lao, Caleb "sayonara" Lee, or Brian "verizon" Rank for the rest of the season and Relegation.

Here is the current state of Prospects:

  • United States Josh "JoshRT" Lee
  • United States Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
  • United States Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz
  • Canada Warren "hades" Rettich

With Michael "dapr" Gulino seemingly no longer standing in for Bad News Bears, a team going under the name "s0mkillers" is set to compete in the New York qualifier later this evening.

Update: Following the publication of this article, Dust2.us has learned that Bad News Bears do not intend to play in the ESL One New York qualifier, as a result crashies has rejoined the s0mkillers lineup in place of Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne.

Therefore, s0mkillers lineup for tonight is:

  • United States Stephen "reltuC" Cutler
  • United States Samuel "SileNt" Portillo
  • United States Michael "dapr" Gulino
  • Canada Pujan "FNS" Mehta
  • United States Austin "crashies" Roberts

The qualifier is set to begin in just under fifteen minutes, with more information and participants available on the ESEA website.
