MIBR dominate Cloud9 to advance to ECS Season 7 Week 5 final

The two longest-serving Brazilians ran wild on the North American squad.

MIBR have come out on top of Cloud9 in the first semifinal of ECS Season 7 Week 5, following two dominant maps against the North American team.

Starting off on Nuke, MIBR and Fernando "fer" Alvarenga put up a nearly flawless CT-side, holding Cloud9 to a singular round. Cloud9 opened the second half with a crucial pistol victory, and eventually brought the score back to 15-10, but they could not hold the Brazilian team off forever.

Overpass started off in more promising fashion for Cloud9, as they took the opening pistol and the ensuing two rounds. Unfortunately, the half belonged to MIBR after this, as the Brazilians leapt out to an 11-4 lead. A pistol victory for MIBR would put them within touching distance of the map and series, which Cloud9 managed to stave off for a handful of rounds before ultimately succumbing.
