MIBR take ECS Season 7 Week 4 over Liquid

The Brazilian squad have moved into firm control of the standings with a first place finish.

MIBR have defeated Liquid in the grand finals of ECS Season 7 Week 4, pushing themselves to the top of the overall prize pool standings.

The 2-0 victory saw the Brazilians get off to a hot start on their own pick of Mirage, opening up the map with a 7-1 lead on the T-side. A triple kill by Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski helped Liquid reply with a trio of their own, but it was MIBR who pulled ahead at the end of the half with a 10-5 scoreline. Another two rounds went the way of MIBR following the side swap, with Liquid managing only one additional round before MIBR closed out the map 16-6.

It was a much closer affair on Liquid's pick of Vertigo, with the North Americans initially going up 2-0 before MIBR took three rounds of their own to steal away the lead. The two teams continued to trade blows back and forth, with MIBR narrowly pulling ahead 8-7 at the end of their T-side half.

A pistol victory allowed for Liquid to immediately even the score, but a swift reset by MIBR saw the Brazilians regain control to pull ahead 11-8. Dominant performances by Marcelo "coldzera" David and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, with the latter player securing a 1vs3 ace clutch with the AWP,  allowed for MIBR to repeatedly reset their opposition, with Liquid finding just three more rounds in the map before the Brazilians closed out the series with a 16-11 map victory.
