FPL Recap - wippie tops final weekly leaderboard; PwnAlone and Xeppaa take dailies

The young Russian who "broke" FPL according to RZU is not a fan of the new format.

The second week of FPL for May has concluded, with this week being the final one to offer a weekly prize pool as FACEIT and the players have chosen to revert to the previously utilized daily system. In fitting fashion, the final weekly win was taken by FPL star Maxim "wippie" Shepelev, who recently linked up with Royal in MDL.

The top ten players from this past week are:

Rank Player Points Prize
1.  Maxim "wippie" Shepelev 224 $3000
2. Brazil Ricardo "boltz" Prass 222 $2000
3. United States Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue 222 $1000
4. United States Owen "oBo" Schlatter 190 $800
5. United States Erick "Xeppaa" Bach 184 $700
6. Canada David "J0LZ" Jolin 184 $600

9. United States Matthew "no_one" Congdon 160 $450
10. United States Skyler "Relyks" Weaver 152 $450

The majority of players from last week's top ten returned to double-dip on the final weekly prize pool, with the Luminosity duo of Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato and Ricardo "boltz" Prass being the only two new appearances. Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue and Owen "oBo" Schlatter remained steadfast in their placings, with neither player moving up or down from their performances last week.

boltz and PwnAlone tied in points for second place, with the Brazilian player being the one to claim the spot in the end with a higher overall winrate, although he played almost half the number of matches of his opponent. A similar scenario in a tie for fifth place saw Erick "Xeppaa" Bach surpass David "J0LZ" Jolin in the standings, with both players ending the week with 184 points.

The full standings for the week are available here.

Here are the daily ladder totals for the first two days of the week:
