tex dethroned, wippie becomes a Tsar
Ian "tex" Botsch has been removed from Royal, the player announced on Twitter late last night. His replacement is Maxim "wippie" Shepelev, most known from his play in FPL.
The team has had a rough start to the MDL Season 31, losing to ATK, slashLEVEL, BLITZKRIEG, and Variance. They also lost to Bad News Bears in the first round of Mythic Cup 2, with Jeff "RZU" Ngo standing in for Brendan "Bwills" Williams. tex had only been with the team for a short while, as he spent last season with BLITZKRIEG in Advanced. It is now thought that he may rejoin that squad, who have surprised in MDL thus far, currently sitting at 2-1.
The team and their new fifth are somewhat familiar with each other already, as wippie was the team's backup and had stood-in for them previously. As an added bonus, the young Russian was already on the team's ESEA roster in this capacity, so they have not needed to use a roster move.
With this change, Royal's lineup is:

Royal are set to play Vae Victis tonight in WINNER's League, and tomorrow against Polar Ace in MDL.
