Eight teams will make their way to the Barclays Center

ESL One New York qualifier details announced

Just one team each from North America and Europe will have a chance to qualify for the event.

ESL have announced the qualifier dates for ESL One New York 2019, with the main event set to run from September 26th - 29th.

As is typical with ESL events, ESEA will host the qualifiers, with the open entry portion utilizing a single-elimination best-of-one bracket until the semifinals, which will play out as best-of-threes. Two teams from each of the open qualifiers will earn a promotion to the Closed Qualifier, where they will join four invited teams. Notably, the first open qualifier for New York overlaps with the third open qualifier for the StarLadder Major, forcing teams to pick between the two events.

Unlike the ESL One Cologne Closed Qualifier, the eight-team ESL One New York Closed Qualifier will play out over the course of one day, with a single-elimination best-of-three bracket on June 27th seeing one team earn a spot at the $200,000 event.

Six teams will receive direct invites to the main event, with the final two sides earning spots through the North American and European Closed Qualifiers. The event and all three qualifiers will utilize Vertigo in place of Cache.
