BLITZKRIEG will be ShoT_Up's first MDL team following his retirement from CS:GO in January 2018
Following a period of uncertainty, Dust2.us have learned that BLITZKRIEG have completed their roster with the additions of Michael "orbit" Faulkner and Scott "KARNAGE" Sala. Additionally, after ringing with the team during the Season 30 Advanced playoffs and MDL Relegation, Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski will stay with BLITZKRIEG on a long-term basis.
After besting Variance in Relegation, BLITZKRIEG found themselves already needing to replenish their roster as Alex "aproto" Protopapas and Ian "tex'" Botsh had committed to playing with Royal and Zone in MDL. It was unknown if ShoT_UP would stay with the team following their promotion as the player had previously retired from competitive CS:GO back in January 2018.
As for orbit, he joins BLITZKRIEG following The Fundamentals' relegation from MDL and the team's subsequent dissolution.
Perhaps most interesting of the new additions is KARNAGE, a player most known for his time with Eanix during MDL Season 24. Since then, KARNAGE has largely been inactive, with his most recent play being a 5th-8th finish with Glockoma during Season 26 of Main. Additionally, KARNAGE was a member of the now-infamous Morior Invictus squad before being replaced by Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir.
With these additions, BLITZKRIEG's roster for Season 31 will be:
- Nick "alter" Jackson
- Kevin "poised" Ngo
- Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski
- Michael "orbit" Faulkner
- Scott "KARNAGE" Sala
Despite the season supposed to have been commencing yesterday, currently none of BLITZKRIEG's players are paid up, due to what Dust2.us is told is a payment issue. As such, it is likely the team will make their Season 31 debut next week.
