Tex crowned as Royal's fifth
Ian "Tex" Botsch has been announced as Royal's new fifth for Season 31. He joins in place of Mike "real_bM" DeSanto who departed the team on Thursday.
The announcement came from Tex's former Monstars teammate Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce and will mark Tex's first outing in the MDL following his departure from the David "Xp3" Garrido-led team before Season 29.
Although Tex has been teamless since then, he recently returned to activity standing in with Mythic during the ECS Pinnacle Cup. Additionally, Tex finished top eight in the Season 30 Advanced playoffs, after sneaking onto the BLITZKRIEG roster with an alt account named "TH0TIANA".
With Tex in tow, Royal look to improve their Season 30 finish, which saw them nearly being relegated after finishing the season 7-10.

Like many MDL teams, Royal will be attending the Mythic Cup and the WINNERS League Division while they prepare for Season 31.
