NRG are hopeful the young Bulgarian's visa issues will be cleared up

UPDATE: CeRq and SPUNJ facing visa issues prior to StarSeries i-League Season 7

Visa issues at a Chinese event? Surely not!

Yesterday evening newest NRG member Tarik "Tarik" Celik tweeted out that the team "ran into some travel issues with one of our guys."

A follow-up tweet from the organization confirmed that said guy was Bulgarian AWPer Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov.

When contacted by Dust2.us, an NRG representative confidently responded that the situation would be "resolved by morning." Should that not be the case, NRG would have to field coach Chet "ImAPet" Singh, or find a stand-in on extremely short notice.

Also dealing with visa issues for the event is Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill, who yesterday was announced as part of the commentary team.

The circumstances make the Chinese event the most recent in a long line of events impacted by visa issues, with the most recent being the WESG 2018 World Finals.

Regardless of whether CeRq is able to make it or not, NRG's first match at the event will be against the Danish side of North. Due to Rogue dropping from the event, NRG will be the only true North American team in attendance, though MIBR and paiN will also be present.

UPDATE: ImAPet has tweeted out that CeRq's visa has been resolved, and the pair will be leaving for Shanghai tomorrow:
