witmer and Hooked take NCS Minor in Denver
Shawn "witmer" Taylor and his Hooked mix were victorious at the NCS Minor hosted at the Localhost Denver yesterday, after a 2-1 win over West Coast Fraggers.
Both teams had relatively little trouble making the final, as neither had dropped a map in the playoffs until facing each other.
West Coast Fraggers started off hot on Train, with Alberto "Reloadz" Garcia helping them to an 8-1 lead. It was one they would only briefly relinquish, as Evan "Zequate" Ives fought to bring his team back to a 13-12 lead, but only to have the Fraggers close out the remaining rounds of the map.
Unfortunately for WCF, there was not much to write home about on the final two maps of the series, as despite the best efforts of Max "SolGoat" Wallace, both went convincingly the way of Hooked.
