KSCERATO's strong performance on Nuke helped to secure FURIA's spot in the Grand Finals

FURIA overcome compLexity in ECS Season 7 Week 2

FURIA have earned a spot in the Week 2 grand finals after a close series against compLexity.

Following a close series against compLexity, FURIA have earned a spot in the ECS Season 7 Week 2 finals. Coming all the way from the Pinnacle Cup, they will be facing off against NRG tomorrow to decide who will join Rogue and Astralis in London.

The action started out on compLexity's map pick of Inferno, where FURIA immediately made compLexity regret picking the map as a 2v4 pistol clutch by Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo was converted into a six-round run. compLexity eventually managed to stall FURIA's T side domination, however they were only able to pick up a handful of rounds with the half ending massively in FURIA's favor 12-3.

On their T side, compLexity won their opening pistol, but any attempt at a comeback was short-lived as FURIA won the following anti-eco. Although compLexity and FURIA continued to trade rounds, FURIA's massive lead allowed them to close out map one 16-5.

Moving onto FURIA's map pick of Mirage, the Brazilians took an the lead by winning their CT pistol. compLexity temporarily stopped FURIA from acquiring more rounds by winning the round two anti-eco, eventually taking control of the map. Compared to Inferno, compLexity seemed far more comfortable on their T side, allowing for them to trade rounds with FURIA and ultimately win the half 9-6.

Swapping over to their CT side, compLexity once again won the opening pistol and the following round to put the scoreline up to 11-6.  FURIA answered back with three rounds  of their own, but compLexity were able to close Mirage after claiming five rounds in a row ending the map 16-9. Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan was compLexity's stand-out player putting up a 22-12 K-D alongside a 1.47 rating.

Having trading map picks, both teams faced on the deciding map of Nuke. compLexity started things off by winning the opening CT pistol and the following two rounds. FURIA claimed two rounds of their own, with compLexity initially managing to trade out rounds before the Brazilians took control of the half for a 9-6 lead.

After winning their T pistol, the game started to slip away from compLexity after Andrei  "arT" Piovezan pulled off a 1v3 clutch to win the following round. arT's clutch was converted into a dominating five round CT defense that nearly put FURIA on match point at 14-7. compLexity was not ready to capitulate though as they took four more rounds; however, FURIA would ultimately book their ticket to the grand finals after winning the next two rounds. During map three, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato proved integral to closing out the series with a 1.50 rating and 90.8 ADR.
