BLAST Pro Series delays first matches until Saturday

Technical issues forced the first two rounds of the tournament to be postponed until tomorrow morning.

With the inaugural BLAST Pro Series event kicking off in Copenhagen, everything was going to plan until technical issues forced extensive delays for the event. Initially it was believed the competition could get started within an hour, then two hours, until it was decided to continue the tournament off-stream and on online servers.

When further issues meant that was unworkable, the competition was once again delayed. This time, the organizers agreed with the teams to move the first two rounds back to the morning of the tournament before the main games began.

The teething problems the tournament was having did not seem to affect the players too much, as notable stars tweeted support of the innovative competition. SK's Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo added his voice after Nathan "NBK" Schmitt and Nikola "NiKo" Kovač among others tweeted their support.

Brazilian superstars SK Gaming are currently in attendance at the event in Copenhagen. The organisers of the BLAST Pro Series, RFRSH Entertainment, have previously announced their intentions to host an event in the United States event in 2018, focusing on North and South American teams, with New York, Miami and Austin looking to be the prime candidates for hosting such a tournament.

As of now the tournament is set to resume tomorrow, with SK squaring off against the hometown favorites of Astralis at 10 AM local time (4 AM EST).

Dust2 Birthday cake!
It sucked to see everything delayed so long, however I did enjoy the player insight that we received! Nice hearing from people like Karrigan and kennyS, and getting great questions about recent events answered. Props to the analysts for doing the best they can to fill all of the blank space, seemed difficult to do that for such a long time.

Hopefully things will pan out better tomorrow!
