Zellsis and Theia grabbed a first place finish in the Twitch Rivals CS:GO tournament earlier this week

Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro and Melisa "Theia" Mundorff topped the CS:GO Twitch Rivals Showdown earlier this week, topping their round-robin group before grabbing a 2-0 win over Born to Frag in the grand finals. The Twitch-run charity tournament offered up to $25,000 for the 1000 Dreams Fund, matching all donations given to streamers that had a charity listed on their stream during the tournament.

The 16-player showdown saw the participation of a number of familiar names, including husband and wife duo David "Xp3" Garrido and Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido, who recently returned from a first place finish at the Intel Challenge in Katowice with Dignitas fe. Unfortunately, due to an internet outage just before the start of the tournament, the two were unable to play and were replaced by Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien and Sheila "Pterodactylsftw" Weidman. Also joining in the fun were Shawn "witmer" Taylor, Erik "da_bears" Stromberg, and Alexander "LeX" Deily.

Under the tag "Up and Coming", Zellsis and Theia topped Group A having won two of their best-of-two matchups and tied one. Just under them sat Samuel "SileNt" Portillo on iSorry, with whom Zellsis and Theia had split series. Although the two teams were tied in overall score, Up and Coming edged out first place in the group thanks to a higher round differential, sitting at 31 versus iSorry's 30.
