ShahZaM briefly pretends to be an NRG player

compLexity engineer a power failure; eliminate NRG 2-0 from ECS Season 7 Week 1

As everyone expected, Rogue and compLexity will clash in the grand finals of the first week of ECS Season 7.

compLexity have advanced to the grand finals of the first week of ECS Season 7, handily defeating NRG 2-0 in their semifinal matchup.

The series began on compLexity's map pick of Nuke, where Rory "depph" Jackson helped to power his side to a 4-1 start. NRG responded in turn by winning five of the ensuing six rounds to tie steal away the lead, but once compLexity's CT economy stabilized, the final four rounds of the half went their way for a 9-6 scoreline.

That lead was quickly extended as compLexity opened up the second half with a trio of rounds. NRG once again responded by fighting back for four of their own, but dephh's unrelenting aggression allowed for compLexity to remain in control as they granted NRG just a single additional round before closing out the map 16-11. dephh ended Nuke with a 1.55 rating, grabbing himself 29 kills and averaging 111 damage per round to grant his team a 1-0 lead in the series.

compLexity's good form continued into the second map of Mirage, with Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert stepping up to the plate to help their side to seven uncontested rounds. NRG finally got on the board by winning five rounds of their own, but compLexity took the final trio to edge out a 10-5 lead as they swapped over to their T side.

n0thing and ShahZaM continued to dominate NRG in the second half, crushing the CT defense to string together six straight rounds and close out the map 16-5. Both players ended the map at the top of the board, with n0thing averaging 116 damage per round while ShahZaM grabbed himself 23 kills and the highest rating of 1.74.
