Charleroi Esports cancel qualifier nobody knew about; talent announced

Not even we can fault North American teams for this one.

Charleroi Esports, a ~$113,000 Belgian event that was announced in November, has announced the cancellation of the North American qualifier for their event.

The fact that only four teams signed up for the qualifier should not come as any shock, considering that the only advertising undertaken by the organization seems to have been tweeting at French CS:GO outlets, various FACEIT accounts, and North American professional organizations.

The tournament organizer have also announced the English talent for the event, which will be:

  • Ireland Dean Brown - Commentator
  • Harvey "skriv" Rodgers - Commentator

The duo were slated to cast the iBUYPOWER Masters, before Dean Brown was unable to attend and replaced by Daniel "ddk" Kapadia.

The current team list for the April event is:

G2 LDLC
Virtus.pro Vitality
Europe Qualifier Europe Qualifier
World Asia Qualifier North America Invite
