tweiss no longer Infamous, RIKO playing Second ECS Qualifier

As tweiss leaves Infamous, RIKO seems to have found a team he can "pug out" with.

Tyler "tweiss" Weiss has announced today that he has been removed from Infamous, and that the team are currently looking at their options for a replacement. This move comes after a middle of the road 4-4 start to the MDL season.

tweiss had been playing with the team since November 1st, replacing Nassir "rugrat" Francique during the closing days of Season 29. During his tenure with the team, tweiss helped the team narrowly avoid relegation after claiming a week eight victory against Bravado.

tweiss later clarified in a follow-up Tweet that the decision to leave the team "wasn’t [his] decision" and tweiss has speculated to Dust2.us that his recent performance and his schedule potentially played a part in the team deciding to cut him.

Dust2.us has learned that the team are currently looking to replace tweiss with Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce who today announced that he was stepping down from MASSIVEimpact to pursue a job opportunity he "couldn't say no to". This is backed up by the fact that RIKO will be playing with Infamous tonight in the Second ECS Qualifier, however it is yet to be seen if he will join the team's ESEA roster.

With RIKO in tow for the Second ECS Qualifier, Infamous are now:

  • United States Josh "JoshRT" Lee
  • United States Mike "real_bM" Desanto
  • United States Brendan "Bwills" Williams
  • United States Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
  • United States Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce (Stand-in)

Infamous' next MDL match is scheduled for February 20th, where the team will take on Party Astronauts. If the team cannot procure the services of RIKO, they still have the option of enlisting the services of Warren "hades" Rettich, who joined the roster back in January, although he is yet to pay his league fees. It is worth noting however that hades played the First ECS Qualifier in place of Mike "real_bM" Desanto.
