ESEA announce Rank S and Rank G changes

Having seemingly been unable to chip away at FACEIT's position, ESEA are opting to focus on creating "a hyper-competitive environment."

ESEA Rank S Community Manager Mark "Boq" Wilson has posted a prize pool update for Rank G and Rank S, detailing changes that will be taking effect immediately for the platform's two services.

Instead of having Rank S matches spread out throughout the week, they will now be contained to one day per region (Friday for North America), and have $3,000 on offer. ESEA will also be streaming these matches on their Rank S Live show.

As for Rank G, the prize pool will be doubling to $3,000 per week, and the top ten leaderboard positions will be paid out — up from five. Additionally, given that Rank S will only be taking place on one day, crossplay between the two levels will now be enabled.

Players from both tiers will be eligible for the previously-announced Rank S LAN in Las Vegas, which will see eight players from each join four "hand selected captains."

Additionally, ESEA announced that the prize pools for Rank A - D will be doubled to $160,000 per year, and that ESEA Season 31 will have it's pool increased to $200,000.

Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne, whom Rank S has been quite fruitful for, made sure to take the opportunity to try and squeeze one last hurrah from daily Rank S:
