Rambo was seen shadowing valens today as they took on Fnatic

Rambo suits up, joins valens at the iBUYPOWER Masters

Rambo appears to be under consideration as Cloud9's new coach after being spotted at the iBUYPOWER Masters.

During Cloud9's match today against Fnatic today at the iBUYPOWER Masters, Ronald "Rambo" Kim was spotted standing behind Cloud9 alongside Soham "valens" Chowdhury. Although Cloud9 nor Rambo have confirmed his presence at the event, it seems to lend credence to previous reports valens is looking to transition into an analyst role with Cloud9 with Rambo potentially taking over the coaching reins.

This news come after Cloud9 was previously spotted using Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen during their leadup to Blast Pro Series: Lisbon last year amidst rumors that valens is looking to retire from coaching after the Major. Rambo was previously the coach of compLexity before being released from the team at the end of 2018. It is yet to be seen how Cloud9 plan to utilize Rambo at the event however it is likely is he just shadowing valens due to being unable to communicate with the players during matches.

Regardless, Cloud9's enlarged roster at the iBUYPOWER Masters is:

  • United States Timothy "autimatic" Ta
  • United States Will "RUSH" Wierzba
  • Sweden Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
  • Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey
  • United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro (Trial)
  • United States Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
  • United States Ronald "Rambo" Kim (Coach)

If Cloud9 do decide to continue with Rambo, the first event he will be able to participate in will be the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational 2019 which is set to start next week on January 25th.

Dust2 Birthday cake!
Woohoo, glad he got a good team. Valens is a 300IQ coach though, so it’s gonna be hard without him.
