Reunited with his former teammates

MIBR complete felps move, INTZ sign yeL and destiny

The Brazilian team are once again, fully Brazilian.

MIBR have confirmed the transfer of João "felps" Vasconcellos to their team from INTZ. felps replaces Tarik "tarik" Celik on the roster, with the American moving to an inactive position.

This is a return to Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's roster for felps, who briefly played with them while under SK before going inactive and leaving for NTC, later INTZ, in early 2018. felps is MIBR's third addition this month, having also secured the services of Epitácio "TACO" de Melo and coach Wilton "zews" Prado from Liquid.

According to reports felps wasn't MIBR's first choice transfer target. The team was previously reported as looking at FURIA's Kaike "kscerato" Cerato or felps' INTZ teammate Vito "kNgV-" Guiseppe, with the former deal reportedly turned down due to the asking price and the latter vetoed by Immortals chairman Noah Whinston.

Before the changes, the Brazilian-American mixture failed to make a serious dent in the competitive calendar, with their only title coming from the ZOTAC Cup Masters in August. The team had also secured two second place finishes at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul and the ECS Season 6 Finals, losing both times to Astralis.

MIBR's roster is now:

  • Brazil Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
  • Brazil Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
  • Brazil Marcelo "coldzera" David
  • Brazil João "felps" Vasconcellos
  • Brazil Epitácio "TACO" de Melo
  • Brazil Wilton "zews" Prado (Coach)
  • United States Tarik "tarik" Celik (Inactive)

MIBR are next in action at the IEM Katowice Major, which will commence on February 14th with the New Challengers stage.

Update: Tarik "tarik" Celik has posted a TwitLonger, confirming that he will remain on the MIBR bench "streaming... until another opportunity arises."

As for INTZ, the departure of felps left them with four players left, and they have over-compensated by making two signings. Gustavo "yeL" Knittel and Lucas "destiny" Bullo have now joined the team, with João "horvy" Horvath moving to the bench, as was reported last month.

INTZ's new roster looks as follows:

  • Brazil Vito "kNgV-" Guiseppe
  • Brazil Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
  • Brazil Alexandre "xand" Zizi
  • Brazil Lucas "destiny" Bullo
  • Brazil Gustavo "yeL" Knittel
  • Brazil Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci (Coach)
  • Brazil João "horvy" Horvath (Inactive)

The new-look INTZ will make their debut at the IEM Katowice Americas Minor, where they have been drawn into Group A alongside NRG, Bravado, and Imperial.
