In its shortest-lived iteration, The Foundation appears to be disbanding for now

The Foundation weakens as kaboose seeks MDL team

Following the team's failure to qualify for Advanced, kaboose is ready to move onto greener pastures.

Following the conclusion of the two Season 30 Advanced qualifiers, Jake "kaboose" McDonald has announced that he is looking for a new home for Season 30, preferably within the MDL.

kaboose re-formed The Foundation in late November, a recurring mix-team of his, following his departure from Vision at the end of Season 29. When he initially left Vision, kaboose was reportedly set to take a break from competitive CS:GO, but his recent experiences playing seem to have prompted a desire to return to the top semi-pro division.

During its brief existence, The Foundation attempted to qualify to Advanced for Season 30 by participating in the two open qualifiers. However, they failed to make deep runs in both qualifiers, dropping out in the fourth and second rounds, respectively.

For the moment it is unknown if the remainder of the team will stick together, but it is unlikely unless they plan on playing in Open as all the qualifiers for the higher divisions have already concluded or are already underway.

Without kaboose, The Foundation is as follows:

  • United States David "dee" Ngo
  • United States Jason "Jmoh" Mohandessi
  • United States "blulite"
  • United States Matt "Mattsanoodle" Tran

As Season 30 of the MDL is set to start on January 14th, kaboose has less than a week to find a new team to call home before the season starts, however numerous squads are still looking for new players following the off-season shuffle.
