witmer returns as a part of FPL January move-ups and move-downs
With the start of January comes a new month of FPL, and to kick off the new year FACEIT have made some changes as to which players remain in the league.
A total of six players have been demoted from FPL down to the Challenger league, while eight additional players have received promotions to play alongside the pros. Among the promoted is Shawn "witmer" Taylor, who returns to FPL after he was removed for inactivity shortly after one of his retirements, and Brandon "Ace" Winn, who most recently parted ways with Swole Patrol.
Michael "Chelleos" Hawkins, a New Zealand player who now seemingly resides in Canada, also received a direct invite to FPL.

Meanwhile, the following six players have been demoted to FPL-C:

- Connor "CONNOR93" Glover
- Daniel "tropiiical" Elshani
Finally, there are at least two players who are currently on trial — Sam "s0m" Oh, who recently made his way back into the league through FPL-C, and 15-year-old Owen "oBo" Schlatter, who has topped the league on multiple occasions.
